Take the following daily hardwood care steps to help reduce the effects of everyday life indoors:

- Keep pet nails trim to prevent scratches and brush pets frequently to reduce hair and dander.
- Place area rugs on hardwood floors as another layer of protection in high-traffic areas.
DIRT & DEBRIS
Removing dirt and debris from your hardwood floors effectively is the number one key to preserving a pristine appearance. Sweep with a gentle bristle broom or dust-mop as frequently as possible to remove particles before they become abrasive and scratch the wood surface. SPILLS
When spills occur on your hardwood floors, it’s important to treat them as soon as possible to prevent moisture. Wipe up any solid material with a spoon and paper towels. Use a dry, clean cloth or paper towels to wipe up the spill, starting from the perimeter and working towards the center. Use a gentle hardwood-specific cleaner to spot treat as needed. If your hardwood is warranted for wet-mopping or using a Swiffer WetJet system, use as little water as needed and ensure a dry surface afterward.
